Make Your Own Hot Pepper Sauce!!

Happy Friday, my friends!!!

What do you do when life gives you Red Hot Chili Peppers??? Start a band, you say???? No silly, someone already did that!! You make Hot Pepper Sauce, of course!!!

I had a bunch of red Cayenne peppers in my garden and I figured I would make hot sauce. You can use any hot ripe, red peppers. I used my Cayenne.

Ingredients:

  • 25 Ripe, Red Cayenne Peppers
  • 3 cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 2 cups Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper
  1. Roughly chop peppers, leaving seeds in.
  2. Place all the ingredients in a 2 qt. pan.
  3. Bring to a boil.
  4. Lower heat to medium and cover. Simmer for about 30 minutes.
    • Warning!!!! You might cough, and your eyes and nose might run during this process from the hot peppers.
  5. After 30 minutes, remove from heat, let the pan sit covered for about 45 minutes to an hour.
  6. When the mixture has cooled down a bit, throw everything in a blender.
  7. Cover and blend until everything liquifies. You might still see some of the seeds and small pieces of the pepper and garlic, but that’s ok. It just adds to the consistency and flavor.
  8. Pour into a mason jar, cover, and keep in the fridge until ready to use. You can also pour into individual small bottles if you have them.

Enjoy!
